1. Acceptance of Terms
By using ShrinkWise, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
2. Service Description
ShrinkWise provides a free file compression service for images and videos. The service:
- Compresses images (PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF) and videos (multiple formats)
- Processes files server-side
- Automatically deletes files within 30 minutes after processing
- Does not require user accounts or registration
3. Usage Limits
To ensure fair usage for all users, we implement the following limits:
- Fair use controls to prevent abuse
- Fair use controls to keep the service available for everyone
- File Limits: Up to 30 images (7MB each) or 5 videos (15MB each) per batch
- Maximum Payload: 160MB per request
Exceeding these limits may result in temporary restrictions. We reserve the right to modify these limits at any time.
4. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Upload illegal, harmful, or malicious content
- Attempt to bypass rate limits or quotas
- Use automated tools to abuse the service
- Upload copyrighted material without authorization
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
5. Service Availability
ShrinkWise is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- Specific compression ratios
- File quality preservation
- Availability at all times
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.
6. Limitation of Liability
ShrinkWise shall not be liable for any damages arising from:
- Loss of uploaded files
- Service interruptions or failures
- Compression results that do not meet expectations
- Unauthorized access to files (though we implement security measures)
You use the service at your own risk. We recommend keeping backups of important files.
7. Data Deletion
All uploaded files are automatically deleted within 30 minutes after processing completes. We cannot recover deleted files. Please download your compressed files promptly.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
